| How do I send e-mail from my ReliaCloud Server? |
Outbound email doesn't reach its destination, or is rejected / dropped by default. ReliaCloud has an access-list at the router which prevents outbound SMTP (a.k.a. the email port). This configuration is intentional so that ReliaCloud can monitor and effectively combat SPAM (unsolicited email). In order to have this block removed, you must initiate an Online Support Chat with a ReliaCloud Support Representative requesting SMTP access. You must provide contact information for an actual person who can be contacted in the event of email abuse. A Support Chat can be initiated at http://www.reliacloud.com/contact. Another option to use email from within ReliaCloud would be to utilize a 3rd-party email relay service such as www.authsmtp.com to relay your outgoing email. We are planning to build a more automated SMTP security solution in the future The ReliaCloud Acceptable Use Policy can be viewed here:
