| Can I change the private IP address assigned to my cloud server? |
It is not currently possible to change the private IP address assigned to your cloud server via the website portal or API. We are working on adding this capability in the coming months. It is technically possible to modify the IP network settings of your cloud server since you have full administrative access to your cloud server. We do not recommend that you make changes to your cloud server IP address. However, if you do change the private IP address assigned to your cloud server please note the following: 1. Our system is unable to track manual IP address changes. Our portal website and API will report a different IP address than the one you manually configured on the cloud server. 2. You will not be able to setup port-forwarding or load balancing rules to your cloud server if you manually change the IP address. 3. Your cloud server will still be able to communicate with other cloud servers and the Internet if you manually change the IP address.
