Enterprise Reliability, Security, and Scalability. The ReliaCloud service is based on a new cloud computing architecture, combining enterprise-grade reliability with brand name hardware. After conducting an in-depth nationwide cloud survey, we found that customers' biggest concerns were security and reliability. With many cloud providers, if you stop your cloud server, or if the cloud provider has a server problem, you can lose your server and data. What’s the solution these cloud providers suggest? Just run multiple cloud servers. That architecture works fine for organizations that want to start from scratch, but we don’t think customers should have to change the way they deploy and manage their applications when working in the cloud.

Reliability

ReliaCloud provides all customers with persistence and high availability. You don’t have to worry about the state of your cloud computing environment when you start, stop, and reboot our ReliaCloud Servers. And, in the rare case that the physical computing node on which your Cloud Server is hosted fails, it will automatically restart somewhere else in our cloud. We can do this because your data is stored on our RAID-10 protected storage nodes. You can also take advantage of server load-balancing capabilities, which are a core feature of our ReliaCloud platform.

Security

Every ReliaCloud Server you create is hosted within a secure private network. Your server, application data, and private cloud network are not accessible by any other customer. In fact, by default, your server isn’t even accessible via the Internet! Your private server network is protected from the Internet by Cisco enterprise-grade firewall systems. You can use the ReliaCloud Portal to define cloud computing security rules and control how your servers are accessed. All servers and customer data are stored in our SAS 70 Type II certified data center facilities.

Scalability

The ReliaCloud service can scale to meet your needs, whether it's one Cloud Server or hundreds. Our easy-to-use ReliaCloud Portal allows you to build new cloud servers in minutes. You can even programmatically manage your cloud infrastructure using our ReliaCloud API. Some customers may choose to scale their infrastructure horizontally by load balancing multiple servers. Other customers, managing traditional applications, leverage our ability to scale vertically by upgrading their server model. We spared no expense creating a network, computing, and storage architecture that features high-availability at every level. Every one of our Cloud Servers is powered by the latest generation Intel multi-core processors. Our team has successfully built and hosted infrastructure for thousands of enterprises over more than 15 years.
